Matt Diaminds’ upcoming self-produced EP “The Rimbaud Protocol” explores genres with bass-heavy electronic beats blended with synthesizers, live instrumentation, vinyl-sampling & vocals. Written, produced & mixed by Matt, it stems influence from electronic music, jazz, hip-hop & funk. The 6- song EP includes features from Fatlip (formerly of The Pharcyde) & Mark Woodyard. Matt also features as a vocalist on the single “Take the Ride ft. Fatlip”, showing his background skills as an emcee (past groups include; The X Presidents, Conscience). 

On stage, Matt Diamind combines live mixing with emceeing to create a seamless, high-energy set. Last fall Matt joined NYC group The Beatnuts on a Canadian tour as their opener and DJ. Matt has extensively toured in 13 countries (North America/Europe) since 2012 (opening for artists such as Raekwon (Wu-Tang), Fatlip & Slimkid3 of The Pharcyde, KRS-One, Rakim) & has performed at many Canadian festivals (Rifflandia, NXNE). Matt has collaborated on studio singles/videos with many renowned artists, such as KRS-One, Fatlip, J-Sw!ft, Slimkid3. You can find Matt on several festivals this summer, including 5-Acre Shaker (Port Alberni) & Reign Bough Fiddle (Edmonton).
